Pilot recruitment at Luxaviation

The group holds around fifteen AOCs in several countries: each entity (Luxaviation UK, Belgium, France, Germany...) recruits for its own aircraft, often on a specific owner aircraft type. Vacancies are published on the careers page of the group website. Luxaviation states that it never offers jobs by email and only recruits after face-to-face interviews, so be wary of any unsolicited offer asking for money. Check the licence required (EASA or British), type rating and experience on each listing on the Luxaviation careers page.

Recruitment information is given as a guide only (public sources, subject to change over time): always check the current conditions on the airline's careers site.

History of Luxaviation

Luxaviation was founded in Luxembourg in 2008 and received its first AOC in 2009. It grew through acquisitions: German operator Fairjets (2011), Belgium's Abelag (2013) and then ExecuJet in 2015. In 2016 its subsidiaries were brought together under the Luxaviation brand (Luxaviation Belgium, France, Portugal...). The group later bought Speedstar (2017) and Paragon Aviation Group (2024).

Pay and conditions, from public sources

Figures published by the airline, pilot unions or the press, each one dated (last update: October 2026). For information only.

  • Pay: the group publishes no salaries on its careers page and says rewards are confirmed during the interview process (October 2026).
  • Application: fully electronic through the careers site, no paper CVs; candidates can join a talent pool if no vacancy fits (May 2021).
  • Selection: depending on the role, a pre-recorded video presentation, a simulator test for pilots, a personality profile, then telephone, video or preferably face-to-face interviews (May 2021).
  • Typical requirements (Falcon 7X, Malaysia): 4,000 hours total including 2,000 on jets and 1,000 in jet command for a captain; 1,500 hours including 500 on jets for a first officer (applications closed August 2025).
  • Support: training through the Luxaviation Academy (e-learning, coaching, mentoring) and a peer-support mental health platform with Kura Human Factors (October 2026).
  • Warning: Luxaviation never offers jobs by email and never asks for work permit or recruitment fees (October 2026).

Preparing for psychometric tests before a selection

Some pilot selections include psychometric tests. ForAllPilots does not say whether Luxaviation uses them, or which ones: none of the series below is presented as Luxaviation's.

To practise anyway, the site offers several series of exercises, included with the ATPL subscription. They are practice exercises, not official tests: ForAllPilots is not affiliated with any airline or any test publisher, and the exact rules or scoring may differ.
