History of SAS

Founded in 1946 by bringing together the Danish (DDL), Norwegian (DNL) and Swedish (SILA) airlines, SAS was one of the founding members of Star Alliance in 1997. On 28 August 2024, the Air France-KLM group completed the acquisition of 19.9% of its share capital, and SAS joined SkyTeam on 1 September 2024. In July 2025, Air France-KLM announced its intention to raise its stake to 60.5% (buying out Castlelake and Lind Invest, with the Danish State keeping 26.4%), subject to regulatory approvals, including that of the European Commission, with completion targeted for the second half of 2026.

Preparing for psychometric tests before a selection

Some pilot selections include psychometric tests. ForAllPilots does not say whether SAS uses them, or which ones: none of the series below is presented as SAS's.

To practise anyway, the site offers several series of exercises, included with the ATPL subscription. They are practice exercises, not official tests: ForAllPilots is not affiliated with any airline or any test publisher, and the exact rules or scoring may differ.
