History of Corsair
French airline founded in 1981, based at Paris-Orly. Its fleet was entirely renewed at the end of 2024 with the arrival of the A330neo. Corsair serves the Antilles, the Indian Ocean and several African countries.
Pay and conditions, from public sources
Figures published by the airline, pilot unions or the press, each one dated (last update: November 2025). For information only.
- Pay structure: a fixed monthly salary by rank (first officer or captain) and category, plus an hourly flight pay (PHV) by seniority class; the amounts are in annexes that are not published (agreement of 21 March 2022).
- Guaranteed minimum: each full month of activity pays at least the fixed salary plus 70 PHV; a 13th month equal to one twelfth of gross annual pay is paid (March 2022).
- Premiums: +40% on PHV for night flights, overtime from the 76th flight hour in a month or the 741st in a year (March 2022).
- Instructor bonuses: €1,250 per month for a TRE, €900 for a TRI, €700 for an approved captain and €650 for a first officer TRI/SFI (March 2022).
- Pay rises: facing an SNPL strike notice, management offered +5% on the scale from 1 January 2023 then +3% from 1 October 2023; the action was suspended (December 2022).
- 2025 talks: a pilot pay agreement was signed with SNPL and SPL in late February 2025, amid strict cost control tied to the business plan submitted to the European Commission; SNPL had initially asked for +15% (February 2025).
- Fleet and training: all-Airbus A330neo fleet; Corsair leases an A330neo simulator at Airbus's new Toulouse training centre for initial and recurrent pilot training (November 2025).
Preparing for psychometric tests before a selection
Some pilot selections include psychometric tests. ForAllPilots does not say whether Corsair uses them, or which ones: none of the series below is presented as Corsair's.
To practise anyway, the site offers several series of exercises, included with the ATPL subscription. They are practice exercises, not official tests: ForAllPilots is not affiliated with any airline or any test publisher, and the exact rules or scoring may differ.
- BQ psychometric tests: cubes, matrices and word problems
- CUT E / AON psychometric tests: deductive reasoning, landing and tunnel
- COMPASS psychometric tests: flying a flight display and orientation
- DLR psychometric tests: spatial orientation, vigilance and perception
