Pilot recruitment at Binter Canarias

Mixed fleet of ATR 72-600 turboprops and Embraer E195-E2 regional jets. Binter's recruitment page lists as minimum requirements an ATPL (PTLA in Spanish) or CPL, a medical certificate, and level 4 in both English and Spanish (Castilian); a type rating and hours on its fleet are an advantage but not mandatory. Spanish is therefore essential. Some ATR flying is operated by the subsidiaries Canarias Airlines and Naysa, which may affect who your employer is. No cadet programme is advertised: check requirements and open positions on Binter's jobs portal.

Recruitment information is given as a guide only (public sources, subject to change over time): always check the current conditions on the airline's careers site.

History of Binter Canarias

Binter Canarias was founded in February 1988 as a subsidiary of Iberia and began flying in March 1989. Privatised in the early 2000s, it was bought in 2002 by Canarian investors. It has since extended its network beyond the islands and added the Embraer E195-E2 alongside its ATRs.

Preparing for psychometric tests before a selection

Some pilot selections include psychometric tests. ForAllPilots does not say whether Binter Canarias uses them, or which ones: none of the series below is presented as Binter Canarias's.

To practise anyway, the site offers several series of exercises, included with the ATPL subscription. They are practice exercises, not official tests: ForAllPilots is not affiliated with any airline or any test publisher, and the exact rules or scoring may differ.
