Mainly recruits pilots already qualified and experienced on wide-bodies (A350, 787, A330neo). A more limited ab initio cadet programme than at British Airways or Lufthansa; long-haul profiles above all.
Recruitment information is given as a guide only (public sources, subject to change over time): always check the current conditions on the airline's careers site.
History of Virgin Atlantic
Founded in 1984 by Richard Branson as a challenger to British Airways on the North Atlantic, Virgin Atlantic belongs to the Virgin group. Delta Air Lines holds a 49% minority stake in it; Air France-KLM, Delta and Virgin Atlantic jointly operate a joint venture on the North Atlantic.

Some pilot selections include psychometric tests. ForAllPilots does not say whether Virgin Atlantic uses them, or which ones: none of the series below is presented as Virgin Atlantic's.
To practise anyway, the site offers several series of exercises, included with the ATPL subscription. They are practice exercises, not official tests: ForAllPilots is not affiliated with any airline or any test publisher, and the exact rules or scoring may differ.
- BQ psychometric tests: cubes, matrices and word problems
- CUT E / AON psychometric tests: deductive reasoning, landing and tunnel
- COMPASS psychometric tests: flying a flight display and orientation
- DLR psychometric tests: spatial orientation, vigilance and perception
