Pilot recruitment at Saudia

The Saudia Group careers site advertises a Saudia Cadet Program open to Saudi nationals only. It is not an ab initio scheme: applicants must already hold a GACA multi-engine Commercial Pilot Licence, have at least 240 flying hours including 25 on multi-engine aircraft, score at least 80% in the GACA AIP test, and hold ICAO English Level 4 and a GACA Class 1 medical, with education requirements (science secondary certificate at 80% or above, or a science or engineering degree) and a height range of 165 to 193 cm. No recruitment of experienced foreign pilots appeared in the listings consulted: check open positions on careers.saudia.com.

Recruitment information is given as a guide only (public sources, subject to change over time): always check the current conditions on the airline's careers site.

History of Saudia

Set up in 1945 as a government agency under the Ministry of Defence, with assistance from TWA, the airline began scheduled domestic flights in 1947 and international services in 1948. It became an independent company in 1963 and took the name Saudia in 1972. It joined SkyTeam in 2012, launched low-cost subsidiary flyadeal in 2017 and adopted a livery inspired by its 1970s colours in 2023.

Preparing for psychometric tests before a selection

Some pilot selections include psychometric tests. ForAllPilots does not say whether Saudia uses them, or which ones: none of the series below is presented as Saudia's.

To practise anyway, the site offers several series of exercises, included with the ATPL subscription. They are practice exercises, not official tests: ForAllPilots is not affiliated with any airline or any test publisher, and the exact rules or scoring may differ.
