Business aviation
Luxaviation at a glance
Luxembourg business-aviation group built through a series of acquisitions (Abelag, ExecuJet...), managing and chartering jets and helicopters under around fifteen air operator certificates.
- Bases
- No single hub: entities and bases in Europe (Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Portugal...), the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas
- Fleet
- A varied managed fleet of owner business jets (including the Embraer Praetor 600 and Bombardier Challenger 604) and helicopters (including the Sikorsky S-76)
Pilot recruitment
The group holds around fifteen AOCs in several countries: each entity (Luxaviation UK, Belgium, France, Germany...) recruits for its own aircraft, often on a specific owner aircraft type. Vacancies are published on the careers page of the group website. Luxaviation states that it never offers jobs by email and only recruits after face-to-face interviews, so be wary of any unsolicited offer asking for money. Check the licence required (EASA or British), type rating and experience on each listing on the Luxaviation careers page.
Pay and conditions, from public sources

Give yourself every chance
A first officer selection usually combines a technical test (ATPL and aircraft knowledge), aptitude tests, a group exercise, an HR and technical interview, then a simulator check.
Revise the ATPL subjects that come up most in technical interviews: performance, meteorology, systems, procedures. Prepare concrete examples of crew teamwork for the interview.
If the posting mentions aptitude tests, practise the most common families of exercises: mental arithmetic, multitasking, orientation, reasoning.
