Regional airline of the Canary Islands, linking the archipelago's eight airports and flying to Madeira, mainland Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Cape Verde and West Africa.

- ATR 72-600 (some operated for Binter by Canarias Airlines and Naysa) and Embraer E195-E2
Pilot recruitment
Mixed fleet of ATR 72-600 turboprops and Embraer E195-E2 regional jets. Binter's recruitment page lists as minimum requirements an ATPL (PTLA in Spanish) or CPL, a medical certificate, and level 4 in both English and Spanish (Castilian); a type rating and hours on its fleet are an advantage but not mandatory. Spanish is therefore essential. Some ATR flying is operated by the subsidiaries Canarias Airlines and Naysa, which may affect who your employer is. No cadet programme is advertised: check requirements and open positions on Binter's jobs portal.

Give yourself every chance
A captain selection focuses on leadership, decision-making and crew management: prepare real situations, what you decided and why.
Expect an in-depth technical interview and a simulator session: go over abnormal procedures and the performance of your type.
Some airlines give aptitude tests to captains too: a refresher on the arithmetic and attention exercises never hurts.
