The stages
- Online pre-selection by a contractor: cut-e psychometric tests in one campaign, Kura assessment games more recently, and a remote interview.
- Interview panel (meteorology, technical, CRM, airmanship).
- Simulator with manual flying and decision-making, generally at Farnborough according to recent accounts.
- Asynchronous video interview described in 2024: three questions (knowledge of NetJets and motivation; what will change most compared with your current position; an improvised passenger announcement), with 1 min 30 of preparation, 1 min 30 to answer and two attempts.

Give yourself every chance
A first officer selection usually combines a technical test (ATPL and aircraft knowledge), aptitude tests, a group exercise, an HR and technical interview, then a simulator check.
Revise the ATPL subjects that come up most in technical interviews: performance, meteorology, systems, procedures. Prepare concrete examples of crew teamwork for the interview.
If the posting mentions aptitude tests, practise the most common families of exercises: mental arithmetic, multitasking, orientation, reasoning.
