The ForAllPilots AI instructor: a question on an engine failure after V1, the student's answer and the instructor's follow-up

A question bank tells you whether you got it right or wrong, but it doesn't always explain why you're stuck. The ForAllPilots AI Instructor, built directly into the revision app, fills that gap: a discussion space, module by module, where you can rephrase a concept until it finally clicks.

The Question Bank: A Starting Point, Not Always the Finish Line

Practising with MCQs is still essential for getting used to the exam format and spotting your weak points. But when an explanation isn't enough, or a concept in meteorology or navigation still feels fuzzy even after re-reading the correction, a question bank on its own can't take you any further: it gives you the right answer, not necessarily the understanding behind it.

This is exactly where an instructor, in a one-on-one lesson, would make the difference: rephrasing the point, using a different example, answering the follow-up question that the first explanation raised.

An Instructor That Knows the Syllabus, Not a Generic Chatbot

The AI Instructor is linked to each revision module (BIA, PPL or ATPL) and draws on the actual course content and questions for that specific module, not on generic answers pulled from nowhere. You ask your question directly in the context of what you're revising at that moment, without having to explain everything from scratch.

It's the same logic as a friend who's already got their PPL agreeing to explain a specific point on a Sunday evening: available right away, no appointment needed, and focused on exactly what's holding you back.

The Real Benefit: Time Saved, and Understanding That Lasts

Digging through a manual running several hundred pages, or scrolling through a forum hoping to land on the right answer, takes time — often more time than the question itself deserved. Asking directly, getting a targeted answer, then following up with "what if..." or "why not instead..." changes the way a concept sticks: you're not memorising an answer, you're understanding the reasoning behind it.

On the densest topics (human factors, turbojet engines, for example), this is often what makes the difference between rereading the same revision sheet three times with no progress and finally getting the missing piece to click.

How to Access It

The AI Instructor is accessible directly from the tab of the same name in the revision app, for whichever licence you're working on — BIA, PPL or ATPL. Pick the module you're stuck on, ask your question just as you would to an instructor, and move forward at your own pace.
