AI Instructor and Selection Coaching: when to use each

Earning a BIA, PPL or ATPL licence is one thing. Convincing a recruiter is another. ForAllPilots offers two distinct but complementary AI tools to cover both stages: the AI Instructor for theory, and Selection Coaching for the interview.
Two stages, two different needs
Revising theory and succeeding at a selection interview call for different skills. The first is about understanding: every concept (navigation, meteorology, regulations) needs to be genuinely grasped, not just recognised in a multiple-choice question. The second is about performance in the moment: knowing how to present your background, how to react to a tricky question, and understanding what each airline specifically expects.
That's why ForAllPilots offers two separate tools rather than one generic solution: each is built with its own specific goal in mind.
The AI Instructor: for understanding rather than rote learning
A question bank gives you the right answer, but not always real understanding. The AI Instructor, available module by module (BIA, PPL, ATPL), draws on the actual content of your course to answer your questions in the exact context of what you're revising — much like an instructor or a licensed pilot friend would.
The main benefit: less time wasted hunting for an explanation in a manual running to hundreds of pages, and understanding that actually sticks, because it comes from reasoning that's been explained to you, not an answer you've simply memorised.
Selection Coaching: practise before the interview
Selection Coaching simulates, in writing, a recruitment interview, airline by airline: Air France, easyJet, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Eurowings, and even the EPL/ENAC competitive entrance exam. Each session draws on the process of the chosen airline as described in independent preparation guides, with some including a technical round drawn from the site's ATPL question bank alongside HR and behavioural questions (the EPL/ENAC process remains focused on the standard selection process, without an ATPL technical MCQ, since it tests different skills). Selection Coaching is in beta and does not guarantee the outcome of a recruitment process.
The advantage: walking into the interview having already heard the type of questions you'll be asked, already worked out how to talk about your background, and already been caught off guard once — but in a low-stakes setting.
Why combining both changes everything
Mastering the theory without knowing how to present it, or preparing for the interview without solidifying your knowledge, always leaves a blind spot. Using the AI Instructor beforehand to consolidate your theory, then Selection Coaching as interviews approach, covers both requirements of pilot recruitment: being competent, and knowing how to show it.
How to access them
Both tools are accessible from the revision app: the "AI Instructor" tab for module-by-module theory, and the "Selection Coaching" card to choose an airline and start a simulated interview session.
